Just checking to see if I have this right: I have a 77 KZ400 S3 that has horrendous blowby and low compression. If I read correctly, I can put KZ440 pistons and jugs on ot and use my 400 head and carbs. is that correct? Any certain years of the 440 better for this swap than others? Thanks, Bob

I believe it has been done before, but I have no idea how. Obviously you would have to make sure all the oil passages meet up, and I know that the later engines had an external oil passage...
Have you checked the piston rings? Maybe they are broken or something? That might be an easier fix...
Whoa! That's an intersting way to fix a compression problem!Just checking to see if I have this right: I have a 77 KZ400 S3 that has horrendous blowby and low compression.
