I tried to get from MSC...no luck
I tried fastenal as source found in archives...no luck

All I want is a box of M6x1.00x45 hex head flange bolts.
Should be able to get for about $15 to $25 for box of 100.

I found titanium for $9/bolt
I found stainless for $0.70/bolt
Who has the black oxide standard grade steel bolts?

Guess I'll work on the Honda a while ;-)

Thanks,

Check McMaster Carr online, page 2960. But I didn't see flange bolts in metric. Maybe use a washer with it?

I can find M6x1.00x50 but not 45mm length.
Problem with the 50mm is the threaded portion is 18mm, like the 45's
Bossard.com has the 50mm length

The Ti at $9/each are a steal, if I needed titanium :-)

OK, I found something that's not exactly the same but close enough.
Old stock and zinc electroplate. Otherwise the same fastener.

Curious if folks are reusing these parts or replacing. Machinist landlord
says they begin to stretch at low end of torque spec and if reused are much
more likely to break.

I also found some plain finish but the minimum order is like $500 plus
shipping from PRC.

Try Maryland Metrics. That is where I buy my fasteners/hardware in quantity. They are pretty helpful. www.mdmetric.com

Their website is hard to use with a dial up connection so I always call them.

You can buy the original Kawasaki bolt for about $3.50 each. They used it on everything from a KX80 up to a ZX1100 ninja. Probably sitting on the shelf of a decent Kawasaki shop in stock. I know $3.50 is a rip, but what's $25 really?

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

George-

Thanks. Should have asked here earlier.
After about an hour on the phone,
this is where I ended up finding them :-)
Old stock though. New parts will be full thread.

The DIN part has an extra mm of height and looks like it
might interfere with the cam cover. Also, no one had the DIN parts
in stock so ended up wit JIS part from mdmetric.

I did find a place in China that will sell in plain finish, like the originals.
But minimum order is the kicker. Heck, I could have them made at the shop
across the parking lot if I wanted to order $5000 worth of them...

He'll make anything up to about 7/8 inch dia with minimum order..
emulsion tubes, jets, gun parts, torque wrench innards, you name it.
