KZ1000P Tick tick ticking. was created by JCGreen
Just curious. My KZ1000P18 makes an odd ticking sound on the left hand side of the bike that increases with acceleration. Also at around 3500-4000 RPMs it has one HECK of a vibration that smothes out after 4000 RPMs. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have checked all the retainer clips and checked every screw I can find everything seems to be nice and snug. Since it increases in speed as my bike increases in speed I'm thinking that maybe its chain/sproket related?

1. Buy a mechanics stethescope from Harbor Freight... only a couple bucks. Start the engine and locate the source of the ticking by using the stethescope.
2. adjust valve clearances
3. sync carbs

Sounds like your bike might be due a tune up?
