Hello all,

How much trouble would it be to swap my 1975 kz400D motor with an early 440 motor?

Thanks.

Check with the 400/440 experts at www.kz400.com :)

That is an amazing site by the way, tons of info for the 400/440 there :)

why not try for a 750 twin motor? If guys can cram a 1000 motor into a 650 frame, Im sure somebody could figure out how to put a 750 into a 400 frame.

It would probably be easier to put the 1000 motor in the 400 frame than the 750 twin motor. The 750 twin is one tall motor :)

I think the 440 motor is a better idea, and I think it's pretty much a bolt in proposition. Just going by what I recall reading about the subject in the past.
