theres nothing wrong with the z1-kz style head, the j-head just comes with bigger ports and valves right out of box.the only catch to running j-head is your compression will drop about 2 full points with kz style pistons and you have to use a cam chain adapter to use on kz style motor.;)

Anybody know who makes these things? Only thing I can find are 32t cam sprockets for running with a MK11 crank. I wouldn't mind getting a set or two of 30t cam sprockets for my bikes.

Why use the J cams? Put a good set of cams in. They will be on the three bolt billet and we make the 30t sprockets for them.

The reason we made the 32T for the two bolt J / GPZ cams is that funnybike guys used to use those cams as a turbo cam. Of course, they all ran the big pin crank.

One reason I was asking is that my turbo has a small pin crank in it and I was wanting to use a set of GPZ cams in it. Also thought the GPZ cams would be a good all-around cam for small pin 1075 motors on a budget.

Jay-

The kits are a bargain. It takes some dedicated scrounging and luck and still spending $200 with APE to come in for total of much less $. If I didn't find the scrounging so much fun, I'd buy the kit!

What is wrong with the J camshafts on the J head with J pistons and block spacer running on a kz? Less lift, but that profile and valve size gets 100+ HP out of the kz1100B2. The manual says the kz1100B2 runs 9.7:1 CR.
