Almost all? Where did you hear this? The Twin-hating Classic Motorcycle Mechanics?

Anyway, they are very similar. I don't know of any major changes, I'm sure others will. I do know though that the top gaskets are different though, the later ones have these big ports in them, maybe for oil I don't know...

By the way, my bikes haven't broken down yet.

I'm owning also the 400 twin (and KZ650, 900). The 400 did reallly have some problems with the oilpressure due the high oiltemp. I've been measuring it for a time and I ended up in an average of 115 to 120 celsius in the bottom!! I expect the same with the 750.. all the dealers ( 6 up to now) told me that alle earlier B's broke down due probably a malfunction or bad design of the oilpump/curcuit. The later csr models didn't seem to have this problem...
I love the bike soI don't want to wait till my crankcase has gone to scrap..

thanks Martijn

I have had at least six of the earlier (non CSR) 750 twins, plus six spare motors, and I have never run across any 750 twin motor with bottom end problems.

I am aware of at least two people that are or were racing 750 twins, and they had no problem with the bottom ends until they started getting near 80 RHP (almost twice as much as stock), and 900 cc's.

Starter clutches are a different thing :D
