well, took a look today under my bike...DANDY...the pipes are right in the way of the oil filter cover, and the drain bolt may be able to come out without having to remove the exhaust...did they come stock like this???Do i have to remove the whole exhaust right at the heads???

Some aftermarket performance pipes run under the engine getting in the way of the oil filter and the drain plug (and in my case the sidestand mounts). Yep, the pipes have to come off. Mine (Hindle)are held to stubs bolted to the head and held on by springs, makes things a lot easier. Bolted up or spring mount, pulling the exhaust system isn't all that hard - rust will be your enemy, a couple of joints might be stuck. Put down and step away from the hammer - wiggling, light tapping with a wooden block, maybe even penetrating oil will get them off. Pick up a new set of crush washers just in case.

what are the crush washers for??? and there is no gaskets or anything where the pipes come off of the head?? since the oil was just changed, they should come off easy..i may be able to get the drain bolt out without taking off the pipes..i hope so...
