A crank with a longer than stock stroke, and costs a pocketfull of $$$$$$ :)

Lots of cheap Chinese stroker cranks available for V-8's though.

you can also offset grind a stock crankshaft(automotive type anyway)to increase the stroke of crankshaft:evil:

A stroker crank is one that has had the con rod journals moved away from the crank centerline.. This increases the stroke. You move the journal half of what you want the new stroke increase to be. In other words, a 1/4" stroker would have the journals moved out 1/8th inch.

We do a bunch of these for Hayabusas, GSXR1000s, etc.

I'm just throwing this out here but would high dome pistons achieve similar results??

No, totally different animals :)

Domed pistons increase compression.
Increased stroke increases displacement.
Increasing the stroke can result in the same, increased, or decreased compression depending upon the rod/pistons used.
Increasing the stroke means the piston moves a longer distance between BDC and TDC.

A question best asked in a PM or e-mail (e-mail is better for Jay).

But you better know what you are doing and give this stroker thing some serious thought.
It "will" require different (probably custom) pistons, and possibly rods as well.

You are still going to have the same heat limitations as you do with an overbore, so you really won't gain anything, but you will spend bucket loads of money :)

We only stroke plain bearing cranks.
