Preparation for Valve Oil Seal Change was created by mind2find
Ok, so given the symptoms (oil on the plugs after a very short time), I'm guessing I'm going to have to change my valve seals.
Now I know, I should do all other maintenance and tuning first, and I'm in the process, but if I can be getting ready, finding parts, tools, etc. in the meantime in case I have to do it...
What Will I Need?
I've got a complete fresh spankin' new set of KZ750 gaskets and o-rings from Z1 (who orders it from someone else) in the case that I take the top-end off and the gaskets are destroyed.
Anything else? Tools? Anything aside from the actual seal itself?
Warnings or Tips?
Thanks Again Guys!

M2F:
Special tools needed (not to mention the regular tools, e.g. metric sockets, wrenches, etc.)
Feeler Gauge (for valve clearances)
Valve Spring Compression Tool (bought or made)
Torque Wrench (inch/lbs scale)
Torque Wrench (ft/lbs scale)
Since you are pulling the head off, you should also consider lapping the valves (easy) and so you don't have to pull your camshafts each time, get the Valve Lifter Tool so you can easily change valve shims:)

My dad made a valve spring tool out of a c-clamp and a spark plug socket. Cut about 1/3 of the side of the spark plug socket and weld it to a c-clamp. Sweet! He got parts from a pawn shop and had about $10 into it. Ugly as hell but worked great!

When you get it apart, try rocking the valves front to back. If you can rock them, the guides are shot. You will be asking a lot from new seals if that is the case. It would also be a waste of time to clean up the valves and lap them in if the guides are shot.
