Hey guys,i'm glad i found this site,it looks like alot of wonderful help on here. Now down to the problem,i'm ridin a 85 ltd 1100,far from stock, bike now is a 1260,head work done,425 cams,36mm rs mikunis, dyna ignition.probelem is i just put the bike back together and i put 150 miles on the bike and the clutch started slipping,i tore the clutch down and found a few plates with swollen spots in them so i shitcanned the barnett clutch called the boys up at APE and ordered a new xtra disk clutch from them,i have plenty of clutch at the lever but at about 6 grand the tach spikes up to 8 or 9 grand rapidly which is tellin me the clutch is slipping . tighten up on the clutch a little ??

What do you mean "tighten up on the clutch a little" ?
If it is slipping I would adjust a little free play in the clutch lever.

did the clutch kit you put in have new steel plates too? how about new springs? the power your engine should have may be too much for stock springs.....

There should be no pressure with the lever released. You can shorten the pushrod if you're out of adjustment room.
