I dont think I asked this already...
Is there a 'standard' position for the gear selector on the KZ750? I can find specs for the brake pedal setting, but nothing on the gear (or is it just personal preference).
The previous owner of mine did a clutch job on it himself, and I think he put the gear selector back on way too high... I've never ridden anything else (bike or ATV) that I have lift my entire foot an inch or more off the peg to shift. Most I just had to twist my toe up and get the next gear.
I'm going to work on it tonight after work, and if I cant find a standard spec for it, I'll just try and set it about where its comfortable to use.

Set it up for your foot.
It's possible the previous owner wore big boots and needed the extra space to get under it.

It's easy to take off and put back on for a more comfortable position. Will take you 5 min.
