The dreaded legendary crankcase mouse! Most likely couldn't escape due to a clogged breather! Legend has it if dried it can be sold as a loofa! Should not be confused with bellybutton lint or pocket fluff. As for what you pull out of the drain after wifey takes a shower. Answers like that got me a brand new model wifey and a negative bank account! Thrice! :woohoo:

I am the only one who has been in the motor. I had it apart completeley a few years when I turned it into a streetfighter. Jeff, I thought it might be a paper towel but the fibers are way to strong. I peeled off about 3 stands and it was all I could do to pull them apart and break them. They are STRONG. I like the clutch fiber idea but I haven't had the clutch cover off yet. Imagine my horrow when I crawled under the bike with a shop light and saw this hanging from my pump. I will take the pump out tomorrow just to make sure that none of it got past the screen. Once I get everything back together I will run it for 100 miles or so and then tkae the pan off again and see if any of it appears again. I will run just motorcycle oil, no additives. I will also hang a sign on the bike informing people that introducing any foreign materials into my motor will insure that they are quickly reunited with the loved ones that have died. I have also decided to dry out the Kaw Hair (thanks Moon) and have it mounted so I can display it in the garage. "What the hell is that Shane?" "I don't know..you tell me".

Harley Davidson- Turning gas into noise without the harmful affects of horsepower for over 100 years.

Shane, That ain't clutch "fiber"... I have seen fragged clutches in the pan and on the oil screen enough times to know.

Could also be the 535 hacked up a hair-ball and spit it into the intake on the Kaw... (snicker hehe)

Don't worry about this stuff if you have cleaned it out. It isn't from the engine so as long as you don't repeat whatever got it in the oil (likely via a removed valve cover) it probably won't reappear. Just check again in a couple oil changes.
