kz550 starter clutch rebuilt, still wont engage...

Ignore my user name, its from the old site, I now own a 1984 KZ550-F2 with 28,000 miles. I was having trouble with my starter clutch not engaging, so I pulled the bottom end apart and replaced the starter clutch rollers and springs. Unfortunatly, it still only engages intermittently when the engine is cold.
Once the engine heats up it engages every time...

Any other ideas? Thanks
