GPZ cam specs? was created by Exitpupil
Just curious what the lft/duration specs for a GPZ1100 cams are so I can compare to aftermarket?

The only GP11 cams worth putting in a KZ or J would be 83 - 85 models.

If adapting to a KZ, you can do it using Allen bolts and redrilling the stock KZ sprockets.

Lift is roughly .390". Duration specs from Kaw will be significantly longer than aftermarket cams due to Kaw's OEM low lift checking point. Seems to me like it's .3 or .4mm where they spec duration.

Yes it's a pretty good cam for a stock or low mod motor. Make certain you check your tappet bore clearances if you try these cams. I have run them in KZ1000 with top bucket shims and not had any problems..

Thanks Larry. I am perking up my KZ 1000 in hopes of getting it to perform like the 83 GPZ I stupidly let go once upon a time. Sounds like my aftermarket cams will be close to the GPZ.
