Clutch cover differences, KZ1000 was created by farmer fred
Hi,
I am replacing all the chromed motor covers on my KZ1000 with aluminum, and the clutch cover I bought looks a little different from the one on the bike. The gasket matches up perfectly, but there is a raised line around the perimeter of the exterior of the new cover, and the one on the bike is smooth. It looks like it will fit, no problem, I just wonder if it's off a different year or model?
TIA

the covers on 79-80 are more squared off while the 73-79 are more rounded on corners.i like the older style myself.
