750 twin bits or ??? was created by gs1100g
:S well we looked inside the engine and Uh Oh broken main bearing neatly along the axis, not to mention no bearing material left. Also the Balance chain guides are - well- ILL. so we need bits or a complete engine and we aren't having much luck here in Aust ! Any ideas people ? ( gees even you steel!)

Gosh, I'm overcome with gratitude
IIRC, AllanB lives down under also, so may be of more assistance due to the cost of shipping from the US.
Judging by the condition of the guides and bearings, the crank and balance chain are going to need replaced, and probably everything else as well, so IMHO a used motor is the answer. And I don't even want to think about what it would cost to ship one from the US
:woohoo:

Yes well $ 500 bucks to ship one from Ihio ( where there is one anyway at the moment.
Who is IIRC, AllanB and how can I contact him
The crank was only slightly marked and has been polished so its not too foul!! other bits well difficult is the word.

 And I thought you's be overcome with modesty actually !! anyway if there is a motor available in the states, someone (honest?) can check it, and its in good nick, then it would be about the only way to get her back on the road methinks.

AllanB is a member here
and is in NZ.
Lot closer than here, and he has a really nice 82 KZ750 CSR twin.

over the last year I have been gathering parts for my 750B, most came from e bay but I got all the berings, new pistons and kit, gaskets, time set, tensioner, cams,(all new),another cylinderhead and a jug and some other stuff, I even bought another engine but the guy couldn't produce it, so this winter its rebuild time, I found most stuff is available if you look, I'm always looking for the twin stuff, I don't know why but the B is my favorite, and I have other bikes, I hope you get what you need
