Just curious how long these engines can last. The one I just bought has 31,000 miles on it.

my 1980 KZ440 had 5500 when I bought it a month or two ago, now its just over 6000. Would love to keep that number moving up but as of late the dumb thing has not been cooperating with me :P

I've got about 27K on my 77 650 and it runs better than any other bike I've owned. I know there are guys on the forum that have over 100K on their bikes, it's all about how you maintain them!

I havw several bikes, 70 H1 500- 3300 74 H1- 10900 72 CB350- 11400, 78 sr650-22000 and an amazing KZ750B twin with 125000 yes 125,000 runs super and has never been opened, I have all the parts to rebuild the engine this winter but from what I can see it only needs a head gasket, both cylinders pull 140psi compression, no engine noises, no leaks(except for head gasket seapage, very light)this bike was owned by a lady and rode every good day from 1979 to about 1999 she always had it maintained, she gave it to her son in law, who gave it to me, its being transformed into a bobber style now and by spring will have been all redone,I love this bike, it now has new tires, forks, brakes, paint, seat, shocks, swingarm and some other stuff,Its not ready to show yet but soon I'll post the pics

154,000 miles. Not on the original engine. I got 45,000 miles from the original then decided to put a big bore kit into it. It was still running fine though when I pulled it.
