Oil filter bolt was created by SimonTemplar
I have to replace a bolt from the oil filter/side cover on my '77 KZ750 (B2). The bolt which holds on the side cover over the oil filter, and goes into the oil filter, has a completely stripped head. I was able to get it out but now have to replace it of course. So far I've seen it listed for like $60.
Does anyone know of a cheap(er) alternative??
While only an actual OEM kawi bolt work?

Unfortunately the oil filter bolt for your bike (Kawi part# 92003-189) lists as only fitting the '76 ~ 82 KZ750 twins, so finding a non-OEM replacement might prove a task.
Have you checked on eBay or with Jeff Saunders at Z1 Enterprises yet?

Hmmmmm.
According to the aftermarkets like Emgo, they're both an 89mm bolt and is supposed to work on both the 16009-002 and 16009-003 oil filters.....
But again, the OEM numbers show they are different...
Yeah hopefully Jeff from Z1 can shed a little light, because if they are able to use the same ones, the EMGO one is only about 10 bucks..

the emgo is a good one
the stock ones have two different wrench hex sizes
1 is a 12mm hex
the other is a 14 or 17 the different kawasaki part #
is because of that.
otherwise the same diameter and length

Which EMGO bolt am I supposed to be looking at?
The 17100 seems to go to all the Kawasaki models they list, but they don't list mine so just wanted to make sure.

I haven't been able to confirm which emgo bolt is the one you guys were talking about. Do any of you know the emgo part # for the bolt??
