2 spare engines ready for my Z1000`s

As I mentioned before, I bought two partially disassembled Z1000 engines last year to serve as spares for my Z1000 A1 and A2 models.
One engine, i have completed this february, without any test run. -Was in good measurement,(...both engines were disambled stored about the last 35 years)
At both engines , i`ve equipped them with my refurbished timing-chain gears, nwe rubbers and sliding gear for the timing chain, chains itself been like new!!! Big surprize!

This other, i have cylinder bores lighlly x-honed, / was already in full measurement at the bores.....
Last Friday, a friend and I fitted the pistons—equipped with new rings—into the cylinders (I had already fully overhauled the cylinder heads over the winter: lapped the valves, installed new stem seals, etc.). We mounted the head, finished the rest of the assembly, and then ran the engine on his dyno today.
Everything looks good; the engine runs really well and without any issues!
Now, if the worst happens—say, a major failure mid-season—I can quickly swap in a replacement engine. It’s always a great feeling to have that peace of mind!

Now, they both need a little cosmetic job on the outside of their cases,...Than conserve them and storage...



 

Nice having several spare motors. When I purchased my 1977 KZ1000A, it came with a second KZ1000A totally disassembled. I intend on re-assembling the second motorcycle and selling it...
