Re: Oil prime question
Today 09:56 - Today 10:01No!Thank you I did use a lot of assembly Lube and I will be putting back the original air box one question I think I got the reeds in upside down basically the air travels from the engine up out back into the airbox correct I think I have the opposite
The air should travel from the airbox to the engine.
It actually bleeds air from the airbox into the exhaust .
It is not an engine breather or egr system.
It is a cheat which allowed the bike to comply with strict Californian emissions regs by diluting the exhaust gasses with fresh air to reduce the parts per million count.

Yes thank you said I just finished looking at the diagram and I see that I got a PDF manual and I wasn't 100% sure but I did get it correct and going into the engine I was second guessing thinking the air was coming from the crankcase into the breather box back into the carburetor to be reburned

Okay definitely needed a cleaning out only wrote it about a mile or two and smoking stopped I'm so happy LOL. I have a habit overthinking man did I do something wrong with the Rings that I do something wrong with the valve guide seals did I not get one snapped in place, you always think of things like that.
Now I just got to get the thing running right the exhaust doesn't even sound good sounds rough I think I might have not got a good seal I have to check them out. And put the original air box back on and take the pods off cuz it is making it sound like s***.

No, air bleeds from the air box into the exhaust to reduce emissions. The reeds should stop exhaust gasses going into the air box
glad the smoke has cleared- if you don’t build a lot of motors it’s easy to think the worst
