Cam cover caps

Thinking of getting a set of these for the bike to replace the ugly covers. Is there anything else l need to do to the cam cover, or even the head, or is it just a straight swap. At the moment i have the original caps with a pipe across, and the reeds still in situ'.

You could go this way:

I filled the open ports with high temp epoxy.

There are lot's of posts here (see below link) removing the reeds and blanking the port seems the most permanent then fit the plates. Unvented cam covers are getting hard to find

There are all kinds here in Canada as we never had smog regulations till much later. I am too lazy to go around to motorcycle salvage yards to search then haggle out a fair price, no money to be made vs the time it takes.

I didn’t want to mess around with caps, or pay for them honestly, so I turned up a couple small plugs.  The factory nipples are just a light press fit into the caps, so they can be tapped out fairly easily.  Then I turned up plugs for the factory holes that had a press fit and used loctite to seal them.  Lower profile and still looks decent.
