Looking for good cam end plugs (KZ750E)
22 Sep 2025 05:10
Hi folks,
After my recent engine job I noticed that the cam end plugs begin to leak even though I only had a couple of rides, no longer than an hour each with it. First there was only a thin film of oil on the edges of the plugs, then little drops on the plugs' surface like they were sweating. Now after the last ride I had drops running down the head. I checked and retorqued the valve cover screws twice to make sure they are in spec and even took the cover of to put on a new gasket and new sealant but that doesn't seem to help. As the manual dictates I used a sealant on and near the plugs (Liqui Moly Silicone Sealing Compound). What I noticed though is that the plugs look a bit deformed, like squished, compared to the originals. My feeling is that I got cheap knock-offs that don't seal properly so I guess I have to replace them.
Does anyone have a source for good quality plugs for a KZ750E in Europe? Shipping from the US to Germany seems to be rather unrealistic at current times.
Thanks in advance!
Kevin

Doesn't "add to watch list" mean it is out of stock with no idea when it will return?

@Wookie58: Sometimes solutions are so close... I wasn't thinking when I wrote this thread after even having ordered there multiple times... Thank you!
@TexasKZ: If they are out of stock you'd see a greyed-out "Add to cart" button. Watch list is more like a bookmark to remind yourself of it later on.
