Timing?

So now that I have the head off what do I clean up an not clean up on head and block? I don't plan on doing any valve work unless need be. I was just replacing gaskets. Any info is great info thank you

Cyl. block and cyl. head gasket surface looking very good, combustion chamber have a little carbon build up (use brass or nylon brush only for cleaning).
Cylinder bores need a slightly re-hone. New valve stem seals. All parts looking good so far.
