Timing?
18 Feb 2025 15:46
Took off valve cover and noticed that the sprockets are opposite of what they should be when I am on the T of 1 and 4. Is this right ? I am replcing head and valve gasket. Help me out here. Second time doing this procedure, first on this bike. Thanks for the help

If you take them out you will install them per the manual. What you're looking at is 180* off but still in time. Be careful of those black bolts. They can be brittle. Don't ask me how I know.

Question. I have a valve bucket stuck on exhaust port 1, can you still take cylinder head off and maybe bucket will be easier to remove? Thanks everyone for the replies. Kane

You can try a strong neodym magnet to pull the bucket.
Some little hits with a rubber mallet (piston dome @ BDC) let the bucket jump out a little more to grab and pull it out with some needle nose pliers.
Under some rar circumstace the valve stem keepers could come loose, so cover the area with a rag.
External heat (head gun) to the cyl. head area let the bucket bore expant some 1/100 mm.
It would be an easier task with the cyl. head off.......

19 Feb 2025 10:42Yes you can take the head off with the bucket in place, make sure you read the "head removal" section of the manual first and ensure you loosen the head nuts in the correct sequenceQuestion. Thank you much for the replies. First time taking head off, the bucket is the one with valve clearance of .44. Was the only one way out of whack. Had .21 and .20 also on exhaust.
