deep oil pan pump extension

Hello from Norway , i buyed this oil pan some weeks ago but not shure if i like adapter for oil pump . Will it be better to weld a adapter same diameter as oil pump and move screen to bottom? thanks 

You need an intake pipe extension for the oil pump.

MrDatsun Turbo<br />I have the same 5 quart pan and the adapter you have on my bike.<br />Never had a problem with it even under high boost conditions<br /> Is the rear pump pickup a good idea ? Yes , It is a fine thing to do, but not needed .<br /> The pan shown is a example of a rear deep sump that is hard to run on the street due to limited ground clearance.<br />My buddy had a rear sump on his Z1R and it bottomed out and had to be rewelded. Luckily he didnt rip it totally off and ruin his motor.<br />A rear sump pickup is possible on your pan by removing the oil pan internal baffle and bending the tube to match the small area you open up.<br />But as I mentioned earlier I never used anything other than the pickup you have now<br /> Pick one and move on <br /> Dave
