04 Jan 2024 14:58 - 04 Jan 2024 15:20
Hello, Im looking to have a Spare clutch kit, I found Vesrah clutch disc on ebay, Ebc, barnett. Can you give me your opinion about that. What kind of Oil do you put in your bike?! I have break my new engine with Castrol 10w40(mineral) for 600miles.. does Castrol is a good oil for the bike ?
Thank youu

My first choice would be OEM plates. They are expensive, though. EBC is decent. Vesrah is okay. Barnett clutches have thin ears that can notch out your clutch basket. I'd stay clear of those. For springs, new OEM springs. The aftermarket springs are hard to pull. A new OEM clutch cable is a thing of beauty. Get a GPz version if your bikes handlebars are lower than stock.
For oil, Castrol motorcycle oil will be fine. I use diesel engine oil in my motorcycles, and it works fine.

Do not use synthetics with "friction modifiers". Your clutch plates will have a very short life.
I also use Shell Rotella T4 diesel 15W-40. It's safe to use with a wet clutch...

Like everyone says OEM plates and springs. You really don't need Barrnet springs unless your drag racing a lot . They are typically a harder pull over stock and will be harder on your hand and the cable.

Seems to be a lot of chatter about Rotella foaming quite a bit.

OH, and a bunch of caca! ...after reading a bit.
Looks like modified 4 cyl engines, nothing I would worry about for our engines.. (unless the mix changed)
