Hi all, Looking to piece together the parts needed for self starting my 1428 hi comp dragebike..
the problem i'm running into is the starter clutch assembly for the mk2 large snout crank 23mm.
All the sites I've visited list the same part number through the years however i can't seam to find the starter clutch gear and assembly
through anyone. The number I'm shown over and over is 160851012 which fits all small snout cranks.
Can anyone shed some light please?

The starter clutch gear for the Kz900's and early model Kz1000's with the smaller crank end is 21167-003.

When Kawasaki Motors switched from Microfishe to that computer parts breakdown. There are MANY mistakes and many early model parts are left off their computer parts sites. Those old school microfishe and the paper parts books that Kawasaki printed back in the day have the MOST ACCURATE parts numbers. I find all kinds of parts listed wrong on that computer parts breakdown. The other problem is all the dealerships online selling parts use the very same computer parts program from Kawasaki Motors USA.

I bet you the part number 16085-1012 is the starter gear for the MK.II style crank. Even the bearing in the starter gear is a different part number than the early model Kz900's and Kz1000's.
