Tacho gear

It’s normaly only tacho gear get worn out?
I can see the gear is worn out, so my plan was to replace it include oil seal…

 
1981 KZ650-D4, with 1981 z750L engine (Wiensco 810 big bore).

Bad post from me... :)

I have now ordered new gear, oil seal and o-ring, think that is it.. and will be oil tigt for many more years.

The gear was warn and made the oil seal leak after a while...

It's unusual in my experience for the actual gear to wear out, as it's  normally swathed in oil being near the exhaust camshaft. But can't hurt to change the whole thing and be done with it. My tachometer drive drips a bit, but it's nothing worth fixing and stops my frame from rusting.

I order new gear and oil seal today, took a photo from my gear:
