Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum and I am excited to see everyone's response to this post. I had purchased a 1979 KZ1000ST from a good friend of mine 2 years ago. It is all stock except the exhaust. When I first bought it, I had the carbs cleaned, rebuilt and jetted. The bike was also put on a dyno and tuned. It runs pretty well being stock, but I would like to do some upgrades on it. Some of the things I would like to do is rebuild the engine, upgrade all the lights to LED. I do have some wiring issues with it. One of the previous owners of it, hacked up the wiring harness so I would like to replace that as well. So, my first question is where is a good place to find some parts for my bike?

Welcome to the forum and good luck on your project.

Regarding parts, where on the planet are you?  If in the USA, dealership sources, both local and online, like Partzilla, can get a fair number of parts.  And of course, there is always eBay, Z1 Enterprises (a forum sponsor), and the classifieds here.
