77 KZ750 B1 Twin. Valve Question was created by ShaneDude
Offhand, does anyone know when the valves should be adjusted? I bought the bike 2 years ago and it had 4,000 miles on it. Now it has 8,000. Wondering...

If you are that worried about it, just check them.
When new they will take a little time to take a set  in about 1500 miles[ break in and create a wear pattern].
After that check them from 10K to 20K.
Have you done a compression test?

Wow, 8000 miles in 45 years sounds like a trailer or living room queen. We want some pics please.

Inside the factory manual you will find the maintenance schedule showing the valves should be checked every 5000 miles.
