Hello all, been a while since I posted anything here since I had new jobs and busy schedules but I’m back and just wondering….. first idk if this is the right place for this post, but I’m looking to reduce my 82 kz 750e rpm’s when I’m on the highway, I’m not the guy to be abusing the bike so I thought lowering my ratio with sprockets currently I have 33t on back not sure about the front but should be stock( even tho I’ll check before doing anything). I’m not math genius or know the right way to figure everything and still be safe (not compromising clutch or wear and tear due to ratio vs torque). I see post about a 6 speed from a z550 but seems like minimal just spread in ratios which I’m not interested since I don’t want a fast bike just want to minimize my rpm’s. And why waste the money. Accepting any advice I really don’t know much about the subject.

Cheapest way is increase the front sprocket by one tooth.  That's equivalent to 3 or 4 smaller on the back and far cheaper.  Assuming your chain is long enough to do this obviously.
Normally you can't go 2 teeth bigger on the front ir the chain will be hitting your clutch push rod. 
One tooth on the front will probably drop your rpm at highway speed by about 500 rpm.

thank you very much, good info, reasoning. I will get a chain as well when I get this done because of it being a little bit rusty and worries me, could it be possible to compensate further by doing one smaller on the back? This should keep length of chain about the same to remove and install with ease? Unless they have master links, mine doesn’t or is weird looking if that’s what the one is. Thank you

If your going to get a new chain then definately replace both sprockets with new. 
Nothing destroys a new chain quicker that old sprockets.

I've always gone with 1 tooth on the countershaft is equal to 2-3 teeth on the driven, but yes.

And be sure to replace the chain and sprockets at the same time.
