What the HECK happened to Rotella T5? was created by ShaneDude
I use it in my KZ750. Last year I bought three gallons of it at $18 a pop. Now I cant find it, or its like $50 per gallon?

Is there another oil you guys (and maybe ladies) use in your old Kawas that take 10W40. I learned about T5 from an old timer. I had no idea it could be used in bikes, but it can. Im wondering if there is ANOTHER brand out there, similar to it, thats not designated for motorcycles but CAN be used in motorbikes. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

T4, T5, T6 are all good.  T4 is a go-to.  $38/2.5 gallons from Tractor Supply.

Just about any 15W-40 diesel oil is fine too.  Some people fret clutch damage, but I've never heard of that using diesel oil.

There was a shortage for a while but it seems to be back in stock at ~$15/gal. I use T4 in all but one of my bikes and all of my British lumps.

Same story as everything else since covid crap. Can't buy anything, or if you can it's 10x what it was. California and New York goofball policy ruined the hopes of ever getting oil or anything  the way it was before. Get used to not being able to buy, and thank you to CA and NY for keeping us all safe at the expense of 55% inflation per year.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Back when America was great, The supply chain worked great. I never stocked up on anything. When I needed something I just went to a store and got it.
Now we watch and wait. When I find something I need is on the shelves, it's quickly get to the store and stock up.

Being Chemicals , its bloody hard for an individual to ship internationally, and i would work out stupid expensive, I do appreciate the offer though. I was after the chassis and rollbar paint for my frame, I'll probably end up using a matt 2 pac paint and spray it through a gun.  I did manage to get engine paint recently, I found one can I forgot I had, and my friend had a full box of VHT semi gloss black hidden away, after watching me run out of options,  he pulled it out and showed me !   He does build a lot of engines though so he had good reason to hide the box..!!
