1980 kz 1000 mach 2 transmission

Is there any diffrence between the clutch & transmission in a mach 2 engine and a standard kz 1000 engine

The Z1000 Mark 2 ( not Mach 2 ) gearbox and clutch has the same ratios and is a straight swap for the earlier 900/1000 items.
The Mark 2 does have slightly stronger / beefier gears and are considered the strongest of the kickstart ( pre 'J' style ) engined gearboxs.

Kawasaki did make another transmission for the 903/1015 bikes.  I have one but am not currently using it.  You need to pull the kick starter to use it.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.
