Best way to remove these?  Both spin when turned.

On the ST there isnt a regular Pinion that runs from one side to the other but 2 lugs that support the swing arm like the pic below, once the bolts are gone off then pry nice and easy with a large flat head screwdriver or pry bar.

I should have also asked how the drive shaft comes out of the swingarm.  Mine pulls a little, then starts binding.

Never mind.  I finally got my fat head in a position that I could look into the swingarm, and I see the C clip.  Of course, I'm going to have to go buy a special pair of pliers just for that, since mine don't have a long enough reach.

Okay, I'm not as dumb as I'm making myself sound, lol.  One more question.  Does #5 have to come off before the swingarm will pull away from the shaft?  In this illustration, it doesn't look like it should have to, but if I pull the swing arm, it moves about 2 inches, then binds up.  That particular snap ring is really hard to get to.

I think it would be easier to remove the pin (#6) and then remove the shaft with the swing arm.

I didn't know about the pin until I was doing some more research and found a thread here that mentioned it.  I finally got it all apart and the engine out.  This frame was bent, so It's going to the recycle center.  Now the REAL fun begins...stripping the good bike for rebuilding!

    Thanks for all the help!

Not worth my time right now.  The area I live in is devoid of people able to do stuff like that anyway.  It looks like the left down tube got hit pretty hard and it "banana-ed" the spine.  You can see it in the picture.   I'm happy that I got several good parts off of it, including a motor.
