Gasket faces

Hi guys n girls , I am building a kz1000 using some bare bottom end casings , these are a bit oxidized , I can clean them by hand but what do I do about the gasket mating surfaces I don't want to mess up and get leaks

Vapour blast them, but don't sand blast them.  Otherwise lots of scraping.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar.
