Gasket Repair
11 Sep 2021 18:01
My new Genuine Kawasaki cam-cover gasket arrived misshapen in the package, and when I attempted to massage it back into shape it broke...
I was able to correct the shape after a half-hour soaking in water, and placement on a spare cam cover as it dried back out.
Now I would like to bond the break back together, and wonder what will work for that.

I had a similar thing happen to a NOS Kawi head gasket, was broken in about 4-5 pieces. I used Gasgacinch to "glue" it to the cylinder head then I greased up the cam cover gasket face so I could remove the cover. It has held up pretty well for 3 seasons where I had the cam cover off a few times. No leaks at all.
