Can I cap off the air intake reeds on the cam shaft cover? And also get rid of this vacuum pump thing? It’s only on the US model so I’m thinking it Should be ok to delete these items. Please see picture . Wait I think they are old emissions stuff. So they are exhaust?

Yes, connect the tube outlets together and close the air intakes to the exhaust ports with 6 mm grub/set screws, (you have to cut M6 into the head ports).

Yes, block the ports with some grub screws. If you are handy at fabricating, you could make a pair of these—

A valve cover without the reed provisions should be available on EB.
You'd probably need one that has the blanking provisions for blocking the reed holes.

... And also get rid of this vacuum pump thing? .

It just a passive vacuum switch.  When you let off the throttle, vacuum rises which pulls the switch 'closed' and interrupts the flow of clean air to the exhaust ports.

ps:  Subaru came out with a similar passive system at least as earlier as 1976.
