Kz440 kickstarter oil seal?

Hi there. I have a bit of a Frankenstein bike, its a 79 kz400 with what I think is the engine from an 83 kz 440. Its leaking oil from the kickstart seal. I cant seem to track a replacement seal down
was wondering if anyone here would have a source for something like that or advice on how to resolve the problem.
ive tried z1 enterprises, johnnys vintage and partzilla to no joy.

Thanks in advance.

IIRC the kickstarter disappeared from the 440 in '81, so there wouldn't be one on an engine from an '83; this may explain why you haven't been able to find a seal. Why do you think the engine was swapped?

Conversely, the '79 KZ400 did have a kickstarter. You should be able to find that part number on Partzilla.

KZ440 never had a kick start.
The early and late KZ400 use the same seal.

From what the previous owner told me, the engine was swapped by himself some time ago, and he somehow put the kickstarter in the 440 engine before he did the swap. I just got another 440 engine as well for a hundred bucks. I figure this one has some blow by anyway, might as well swap them out this weekend, and then rebuild the one with the kickstarter for experience and fun. I'll upload pics of the process at some point and try to figure out the exact engine via serial numbers.

I think i tracked down the right seal, through a local small shop owner, he has two kz400s and seems quite knowledgeable and friendly. Ill update as I go.
