Z400 d4 1978 camshaft timing set up??? was created by Plasma1
Hi all,I have z400 1978 d4....
I've put new rings in,cylinder head on & about start setting camshaft timing...
I've got tdc on t mark on crankshaft...just wandering if this sounds right??
I've put camshaft in same side, with gap on end facing up...
I've set the sprocket with chain on & as I'm looking at it from kickstarter side engine, which way do the arrows on sprocket face, forward or backward??
At moment it's set as follows, as look directly down camshaft at sprocket, arrow on left with T by it is level with face, facing backwards & arrow only pointing towards inlet???
I thought arrows should be facing forwards??
Any help appreciated or diagrams of camshaft sprocket when set up correctly...
Need get this beast up n running....
Cheers all..
