Not bike related kz550 in golf cart put in gear cart moves but very slow give it gas engine reves but still wont go any faster was wondering if has to do with gear ratio between chain and rear end

Is the engine reving it's guts out at 10,000 rpm (or something approximating that based on sound?) If not, the gear ratio isn't the problem.

Maybe the clutch is slipping? Too much load for the stock clutch?

What's the gear ratio between the output sprocket and the rear axle? Stock kz is around 2.5:1

Based on the picture I'm guessing the rear axle includes an internal gear reduction, in addition to the chain drive reduction ratio. It's important to understand the axle gear ratio is as well.

But my guess is that the clutch is slipping.
