Clutch overhaul

Today have I stared to overhaul the clutch, new friction plates and springs.

I have some questions releated to these, shall their be a gasket in indicated area in red on the photo below?
These is the "channel" where the oil flow to the oil level mirror.

The gasket goes all the way around the perimeter, but does not stick up far enough to impede the oil.

I’m not thinking about the main clutch house gasket, but the area here:

Yes! a gasket goes there but it isn't separate .
It's part of the main clutch cover gasket as can be seen below.
