Exhaust clamp part number variations - 77-80 KZ650 was created by 79KZ650Cjb
Hey gang ,
Long story long - took off the 4-1 exhaust system that was on my bike, bought what I thought was an exhaust system for a '79 KZ650 (surprise! It's from an '80 (or so) LTD) and finally go it on...mostly. Made up a little extension to fit the muffler brackets to the footpeg bolts. Missing a clamp (and all the muffler gaskets, but I've got them coming) for the connector piece between the two mufflers.
So, finally, here's the question: according to Kawasaki parts diagrams, the clamps are 92037-1223 (CLAMP,PIPE,35MM). I can find exactly 1 of these on ebay (but $25 + shipping seems a bit much). However, 92037-179 clamps are EVERYWHERE on ebay. Problem is, there's no measurements telling me if their 35mm and I cant find that part number anywhere. Does anyone here know if -179 superseded -1223?
Is it a hoax? Am I loosing my mind and can't read a parts diagram after 6+ months of social isolation?

Yea'; stuff is always strange? I don't know KZ 650's Except they changed over to CSR about 80-81? But look what no one wanted to pay $30 bucks for? I had these listed for over 30 days. I don't get it? Not that I care? I did give them to a memeber on this forum that bought the exhaust pipes. Just making a post. If these were Z1 or KZ OEM? would have been a $100 faster than the Roadrunner messing with Wyle E Coyote!
Happy Thanksgiving Day America!

From CMSNL.com 92037-179 is superseded by 92037-1220 which is a header pipe clamp found on some of the 70s 650s.
