Damaged Connecting Rod
06 Oct 2020 03:07 - 06 Oct 2020 03:44
Hi, well I've managed to pull out the piston wrist pin from the z500 with heat, after the previous owners attempt, and as I thought its damaged from scoring. Does the brain trust know if the Z550 connecting rods are compatible, I am assuming not as the stroke might differ.
Markings show Japan 208 on one side and S12 on the other.
Thanks Greg

The 500 and 550 share the same stroke so I suspect the rods are the same. You might want to compare the part numbers off a place like Partzilla and another in the a market where the 500 was sold such as the EU.
