Well, here is one of those "my engine is making noise" posts. Looking for suggestions.
When idling or cruising at a steady speed all sounds good. Rev it at a standstill it sounds good. However, if I speed up at all the engine starts to make a noise like it is struggling. Still accelerates fine, just makes noise. If I let off the throttle a small amount it goes away until I put a load on it. It does it in all gears and speeds.
Valve clearance has been checked and is at a tight 0.020.
Oil level good.
Carbs just synced and air/fuel adjusted. I haven't done a plug chop at anything but I checked the plugs after a mile ride around the block. Might be a bit lean,
Running 92 octane fuel.
Checked timing and it is right on at idle and advances correctly.
