Engine Noise While Running 82 KZ750e was created by Mr_Blonde
I finally was able to get my project bike started and running after a lot of carb cleaner, starting fluid, and a new solenoid. It hasn't run in 2.5 years (before I got it). Amid throttling to keep the rpms up (or else it would die) I hear a pop/bang and then it started making the noise in the videos. Best I can tell its coming from the front of the engine, when the inner most right side exhaust port is, also looking at the video it looks like there's smoke coming from the junction there (maybe a leak?).
Was hoping somebody on here would have a better idea as to what may be going on. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like some header gaskets are leaking and need to be renew.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Check the exhaust clamps. It sounds like one is loose.
