I have now replaced the oil seal, took some photos please see below.
For me it looks like I should get a new tacho gear?


1981 KZ650-D4, with 1981 z750L engine (Wiensco 810 big bore).

I can't recall for sure, but I thought someone had a fix for this without replacing the gear itself, but I could be wrong. At least gears are still available if you need one.

A light wet sanding (oil and 800 grit) and a final polish will cure the gear shaft.

I tried to sand, but it was some corrosion “wholes»..., will see what I do in the winter, thank you.
