Mk2 engine conformation was created by z19OO
I searched and searched but still questioning this motor. Was told it came from a mk2 frame I bought.....vin # looks right BUT look at the ribs, thought should be more? Maybe because its an earlier engine?

It has the gusset behind the oil intake but the gusset should extend all the way to the same elevation as the crankcase breather. See photo of my MK2 engine below. There aren't a lot of external visual clues. The best way is to pull the valve cover and count the teeth on the cam sprockets. There should be 32 teeth.


I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.
