2nd gear can these be saved?

So I'm going to be in the market for some transmission repair. I know the MRE name from hanging out at the drag strip, but I've never been a customer. Looking thru the KZR archives it looks like there was some controversy regarding them many years ago. Are things all settled at this point? Everybody happy with their recent MRE dealings?

I've had a few complete clusters from MRE over the years for KZ drag bikes etc.
The most recent being only a few weeks ago for my Z1R turbo build which is undercut with billet 2nd etc included.
I'm in the UK and buying a complete cluster from MRE with shipping is still nearly half the price of getting my own done over here.
I haven't experienced any issues dealing with them and the parts came as quick as they possibly could.

I still plan on getting a fresh tranny from them for the next build.
