Hey, so I'm very noob to bikes but I've been working on learning and fixing my bike now and I've slowly built up some knowledge.

I'm unfamiliar with the Kickstarter. The starter motor was trying to start it but eventually battery was running out of juice from all my tries. So I decided to try the Kickstarter.

I know that to kick start ( just like electric start) open choke, open fuel line, bike in neutral, kill switch on RUN , kick stand up but additionally don't pull in the clutch. When I try kick starting I go from the top all the way down. I notice some resistance, it's not completely even like I expected. Is that how Kickstarts feel?

What I mean is the resistance is not even, it's feels clunky if that makes sense.

I know I need a clutch adjustment so I'm wondering if that is messing with the kickstart somehow?

Suspect what you feel is the cylinder compression as the motor turns over.
