No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHi,

First post. I'm starting a project to fix-up my sons 84 KZ700 this winter. He wants a 4 into 1 exhaust. I found this one on e bay:

Besides the crazy hi price..would this fit on the kz700? This is the same exhaust I had on my 81 GPz110 back in the day..

Are there any other/better options?

Thanks for the help!

The KZ700 is a bit of an odd duck in some ways, but I think any exhaust system from the 650 and 750 four cylinder bikes will fit, including the 750 Zephyr. I would look at a Delkevic system.

Kerker was a great system way back when, but it seems that their quality control has dropped about as fast as their prices have risen .

Here is the system for the ZN700. I suspect it is the same for the KZ700, except for the muffler mount.

Here is the system for the KZ750L and KZ750R1. Maybe it is a close fit.
A call to them might be in order.

The KZ750-L3 is probably the closest match for the KZ700-A1 >> the two models are very similar to each other & share a number of parts, including the exhaust manifold assy & header pipes.

Update:

I installed a new Delkevic megaphone style exhaust. I'm impressed with the quality and value. But damn, this sucker is loud! It sounds great at idle, but really screams when you rev the bike. Maybe I'm just getting old but I think it's too loud.

Anyone else feel this way? Is it possible to quiet these exhaust down some? Maybe different baffles or ..?

Thanks!

The Delkevic is definitely louder than the old MAC i removed. Not quite obnoxious though. The quality is good and the price was right and I eventually just got used to it :)

This is the model I purchased. It was for a 82 GPz750. I purchased it thru Amazon and it was shipped directly from Delkevic.

You just have to wait for that age-related hearing loss to kick in.

They do look great on that bike!
